Cucaracha will relieve bugs!
Insecticidal agent Cucaracha from bugs has been used relatively recently. However, it quickly won the recognition of both ordinary citizens and professional pest control. Let's consider in more detail what kind of drug it is and how to use it.
Description of the drug
Cucaracha is sold in bottles of 50 and 1000 ml. In appearance, this liquid is pale yellow or bluish in color with an unpleasant odor.
The main active ingredients of cucarachi are cypermethrin and malathion. For insects, they are strong poisons of neuroparalytic action. Complementing and enhancing the activity of each other, these substances provide quick death of bugs within a few seconds.
The drug does not work on insect eggs. However, due to the prolonged action of cypemetrin, cucaracha retains its activity for 2-6 weeks after application to the surface. This time is enough to destroy the hatched larvae.
By the degree of human exposure, the insecticide belongs to the 3rd and 4th class of moderately hazardous substances and is approved for domestic use.
Interesting fact! In the body of arthropods, malathion is converted into its analogue, maloxon, whose toxic effect is much higher. This explains the rapid death of insects with comparative safety for warm-blooded creatures.
Preparation of working solution and consumption rate
To prepare the solution, the remedy for bugs of Cucaracha is diluted in the amount of 2.5 g of the drug per 1 liter of water. The resulting liquid is stirred for 5 minutes. and immediately used for its intended purpose, since it is not subject to storage.
Water should be at room temperature and free from impurities. Dilution tanks should also be clean.
Depending on the properties of the surface and its ability to absorb moisture, the flow of funds may be different.
Drug Consumption:
- highly absorbent surfaces - 100 ml / m2;
- slightly absorbent - 50 ml / m2.
With a strong infection of the premises with insects, the concentration and consumption of the insecticide can be increased.
Advice! With increasing temperature, the activity of the drug increases due to the greater volatility of the molecules. Therefore, for greater effect, the water is heated before dilution.
Application
Cucaracha helps get rid of bed bugs almost instantly. If you peel the product directly onto the insect, you can see that the insect dies within a few seconds. The drug owes such speed to the malathion present in its composition. However, thanks to him, the insecticide is unstable in the environment. Therefore, with a large accumulation of bugs, it is recommended to re-treat the room after 1-2 weeks.
The drug is sprayed on all possible habitats of insects, such as:
- bedside tables;
- sockets;
- cabinets;
- beds;
- sofas;
- the space behind the skirting boards.
With severe infection, the apartment is raised laminate flooring. They remove the carpet, wall panels, tear off the wallpaper weakly holding on the walls.
Spray the drug with the windows open, taking precautions. People and pets are removed during the disinfestation, products, dishes, clothes, books are put in plastic bags and taken out to another room.Wiring is de-energized.
Wet cleaning can be carried out after a day after the use of the drug. Immediately before the return of tenants, the apartment is ventilated for at least 3 hours.
Advice! At the first signs of poisoning - dizziness, nausea, weakness, you must immediately leave the room and rinse your mouth with a 2% solution of baking soda. After this, you need to drink activated charcoal - 10-15 tablets for 1-2 glasses of water.
Cleaning
24 hours after processing the premises, it is necessary to wipe with a damp cloth all surfaces with which contact is possible. To do this, use a solution of soda ash - 1-2 tablespoons per liter of water.
Dead insects are collected using a vacuum cleaner and burned. All things that can be washed are sent to the washing machine. The floor is washed with soapy water or water with washing powder.
Important! Cleaning should be carried out one day after the treatment of the premises with the drug.
Cleaning is carried out in protective suits and gloves. The apartment is pre-ventilated for at least 30 minutes. At the end of all work, wash your hands with soap and take a shower. Overalls are sent to the wash, gloves and disposable masks are thrown away.
If all disinfection work was carried out correctly, re-treatment may not be required. The surviving bugs and their recently hatched larvae die within 1-2 weeks after disinfestation.
